Subaru Legacy

Longer wheelbase, extra legroom and new power train . . .

The 2010 Legacy, whose predecessor is renowned for its sporty handling and reliability, now features a longer wheelbase, almost four inches of extra rear seat legroom and a new powertrain lineup featuring the new Subaru Lineartronic™ CVT (continuously variable transmission).

New powertrains and new suspension design combine with proven Subaru safety technology to deliver a unique offering in the midsize segment. Legacy is equipped as standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, an invaluable performance- and safety-enhancing system that sets Legacy apart among midsize sedans. All-wheel drive is rare in the midsize segment, and only Legacy makes it standard.

The Legacy line for 2010 will offer three levels of performance--2.5i, 2.5i Premium and 2.5i Limited.

World's First Sport Utility now roomier

The fourth-generation of the World’s First Sport Utility Wagon® is a roomier and more capable interpretation of the vehicle that launched the crossover trend 15 years ago. Distinguished by bolder styling, the all-new 2010 Subaru Outback delivers enhanced performance, comfort and fuel economy with the introduction of an all-new chassis and the new Subaru Lineartronic™ CVT (continuously variable transmission). Capability is enhanced with a segment-first swing-out roof crossbar design and an improved 8.7 inches of ground clearance.

The all-new 2010 Subaru Outback is smart-sized compared to other 2-row crossover vehicles, featuring a mid-size interior in an easy-to-maneuver and off-road capable wagon body. Subaru engineers have increased interior volume by almost 7 percent in a package that is slightly shorter than the previous model. The wheelbase is 2.8 inches longer and rear seat legroom is improved by almost 4 inches, but front and rear overhangs are reduced by around 2 inches to maintain vehicle capability.
