2007 Saturn Sky Roadster
The Sky, introduced at the North American International Auto Show and slated for production in 2006, is the first vehicle to feature a new look that will influence Saturn's entire future product lineup. The roadster will be followed by a new midsize sedan and a large crossover SUV as Saturn's product portfolio doubles during the next 24 months.
The Saturn Sky roadster was inspired by the Vauxhall VX Lightning Concept - created at GM's Advanced Design Studio in Birmingham , England - signaling the adoption of an international design language for Saturn. The Sky's design features a wide stance with short overhangs and 18-inch wheels pushed to the corners. The convertible top folds completely into the rear compartment and the clamshell hood provides excellent accessibility and reinforces the sports car aura. Projector halogen low beams and reflector optic halogen high beam headlamps extend the exterior's sophisticated look.
Saturn ION
With new enhancements that include an available 170-horsepower (127 kw) engine, the 2006 Saturn Ion becomes an even more powerful player in the small car segment. And thanks to OnStar, now standard on all models, the Ion continues to demonstrate
New for '06 is an available 2.4L Ecotec inline four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing (VVT) that delivers an excellent combination of power and fuel economy. This engine, available on the Ion 3 with the Enhanced Performance Package, delivers an impressive 170 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque. Ion is available in five models: the Ion 2 and Ion 3 sedans and quad coupes, as well as the performance-oriented Ion Red Line. The Ion 1 sedan has been discontinued for 2006. With the new changes, Saturn Ion delivers an even greater level of performance, refinement, comfort and safety.
Saturn Vue
The popular Saturn Vue receives significant interior and exterior styling upgrades for 2006, adding to the appeal of this safe, fun-to-drive compact SUV. The Vue's design upgrades reflect Saturn's commitment to bring a higher level of vehicle refinement to complement its established reputation for customer care.
Among updates for 2006, Vue offers OnStar standard on all models, and includes Advanced Automatic Crash Notification and one year of the Safe & Sound plan. The Vue Red Line, which made its debut in interim 2004, also receives an array of upscale interior and exterior enhancements for 2006. The Red Line version starts with Vue's impressive 250 horsepower 3.5L V-6 and adds performance handling to the package.
