Mitsubishi Eclipse

Mitsubishi Eclipse

If it's true that time varies depending on the speed at which you travel, then buyers of the all-new 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse should prepare to age gracefully. This year, Mitsubishi's hot hatch becomes a full-fledged Grand Touring coupe. The Eclipse now surpasses the Ford Mustang V6 in terms of power, while overwhelming another sporty coupe segment rival, Acura's RSX, with 260 lbs.-ft. of torque. New from the ground up, the only thing the Eclipse has in common with the car it replaces is its name. In addition to the practicality provided by virtue of a roomy interior, the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse represents advances in styling, engine output and ride comfort. Designed to combine exotic styling and performance with the utility of a daily driver, the new two-door Eclipse coupe sports an impressive power range, room for four adults, and several new safety and luxury amenities without sacrificing the incredible value that the Eclipse name has come to represent. "The 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse is a thrilling new model in this segment," said Richard Gilligan, president and chief executive officer of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. "This all-new vehicle features an outstanding design, incredible power and excellent ride and handling characteristics."

Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder

Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder

Based on the fourth-generation Eclipse coupe introduced for 2006, the 2007 Eclipse Spyder is the "attainable exotic" that combines "Driven to Thrill" design and performance with a high-tech convertible top and outstanding value. A rigid platform enables the four-wheel independent suspension to give the Eclipse Spyder both sporty road manners and a compliant, comfortable ride. The Eclipse Spyder will be offered in two trim levels: the GS model is powered by a 162-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic. The Spyder GT's 3.8-liter V-6 produces 260 hp and 258 lb.-ft. peak torque and is teamed with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed automatic.

Mitsubishi Outlander

Mitsubishi Outlander

Larger in every respect than the first-generation Outlander it replaces, but still with agile compact dimensions, the 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander offers 5- or 7-seat flexibility, clever cargo area packaging and the segment's first flap-fold tailgate. The new Outlander cleverly melds bold, sporty design with impressive room and utility. Mitsubishi infused the 2007 Outlander design with sport sedan attitude, highlighted by clean, sharp lines, featuring a "diamond cut" front end and boldly sculpted fender flares. The sporty design DNA is carried inside, where the deeply contoured front bucket seats and motorcycle-style instrument panel gauges suggest "sports car" more than sport-utility.The 2007 Outlander offers ample room for five, or seven with an underfloor-stowable compact third row seat (XLS models) that folds flat into the floor when not needed. Five-seat models feature an under-floor storage compartment. The second-row seat features 60/40 split fold-and-tumble seats to balance customers' needs for utility, passenger room and comfort. All models feature as standard premium fabric seats with a combination of suede-style knit and sporty mesh.

Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart

Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart

The new Galant Ralliart spearheads the restyled Galant midsize sedan line for 2007. Powered by a MIVEC-enhanced 258-hp 3.8-liter V-6 engine and equipped with sport suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels and exclusive exterior styling and interior features, Galant Ralliart competes in the growing performance sedan segment. One of the most powerful import brand sport sedans in its segment, the 2007 Galant Ralliart can accelerate from zerov-to-60 mph in about seven seconds. All Galant models get an updated, sophisticated new look for 2007 with new front and rear bumper fascias, a new grille with chrome surround. The Galant Ralliart is distinguished by a unique front aero bumper, sport mesh grille projector-style ellipsoid headlamps, two-tone bumpers and color-keyed side air dams. Galant interior design and materials have been enhanced, and ride and handling refined to provide greater comfort and a more engaging driving experience.
