Honda Accord
Completely redesigned for 2008 with increased dimensions for a more spacious interior, the sedan styling theme expresses a powerful presence with sharp and strong character lines. The coupe is further individualized with an aggressive stance and unique proportions that create a muscular, sporty demeanor.
An available 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine produces 268-horsepower - the most ever for any Accord - while introducing a new generation of fuel-saving Variable Cylinder Management technology and achieving a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle rating. The VCM system operates in six-cylinder mode for power and 4- and 3-cylinder modes for efficiency, resulting in an EPA city/highway fuel economy rating of 19/29 miles per gallon (Accord Sedan V-6).
Also new for Accord, an Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure enhances frontal collision compatibility with vehicles of different sizes and bumper heights. Additional safety equipment standard to all Accord models includes Vehicle Stability Assist, also known as Electronic Stability Control; side-curtain airbags; dual-chamber front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System, active front seat head restraints, anti-lock brakes and more.
Honda Civic Hybrid
The 2008 Honda Civic features a technologically-advanced Civic Sedan and Coupe lineup highlighted by a Civic Hybrid, a dedicated natural gas-powered Civic GX and a high-performance Civic Si.
New for 2008, the Civic EX-L Sedan and Coupe introduce a leather-trimmed interior to the Civic lineup for the first time. A Civic MUGEN Si Sedan also debuts for the 2008 model year with a high-performance suspension, forged aluminum wheels, aerodynamic body styling and a sport-tuned exhaust system.
"Quality construction, a technologically-advanced and spacious interior, and fun-to-drive performance put the Civic in a class of its own," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "The availability of high-performance versions, a hybrid and a dedicated natural gas vehicle also makes Civic one of the most diverse vehicles in the automotive industry."
A sweeping roofline and a sleek windshield angle convey an advanced, one-motion profile with a low and wide stance tailored into two distinctive sedan and coupe body configurations. The interior focuses on sophisticated styling with a two-tier instrument panel, comfortable seating and accommodating storage areas with room for mobile phones, MP3 players, compact discs and more.
Available features include a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with voice activation and a 350-Watt AM/FM/CD/MP3/XM Satellite Radio Premium Audio System with seven speakers including a subwoofer. The Civic EX-L Sedan and Civic EX-L Coupe add heated seats and side mirrors along with leather trim to the steering wheel, seating surfaces and center armrest to the Civic EX list of features.
Honda Pilot
For the first time in its six years on the market, the Pilot is available in two new trim levels, the Value Package and the Special Edition. The Value Package builds on and replaces 2007's value-leading LX trim, adding rear privacy glass, machined alloy wheels, XM® Satellite Radio, upgraded audio to include a 6-disc CD changer and additional speakers, roof rails, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, and body-colored door mirrors, door handles and rear spoiler. The Special Edition supplements the available EX trim, adding in-demand features like a DVD rear entertainment system, XM® Satellite Radio, power moonroof, 115-volt power outlet and ambient console lighting.
