Nissan Altima Coupe
The all-new 2008 Altima Coupe, which is scheduled to go on sale in summer 2007, fills a desire among target customers for a more personal expression of style and individuality. Based on the next generation 2007 Altima sedan, the new Coupe's exterior design is intended to stand out in a crowd of sedan-based two-door models with its sophisticated, perfectly proportioned styling. The Altima Coupe features a shorter wheelbase, overall length and height than the Altima Sedan.
The smaller size and lighter overall weight also contribute to the Coupe's sportier driving feel – another desired attribute of the typically younger, more performance-oriented coupe buyers.
The Altima Coupe will be available with a choice of the award-winning VQ-series 3.5-liter V6 or powerful 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engines, each offered with either a 6-speed manual transmission or Nissan's advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).
Nissan Altima Hybrid
First introduced in 2007, the Nissan Altima Hybrid offers all the style, convenience, comfort, quality feel and performance technology features and highlights of the best-selling fourth-generation Altima Sedan – while offering the added benefits of improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
The 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid blends an advanced electric motor/generator, Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery and hybrid management system with Nissan's powerful 2.5-liter 4-cylinder QR25DE engine. The mating of the two produces a hybrid system net power of 198 horsepower and results in low emissions and enhanced fuel economy of 35 mpg City/33 mpg Highway – without compromising Altima's responsive acceleration and performance.
