Spyker C8 laviolette

Spyker C8 Laviolette

Sharon Stone careened it through the streets of London in "Basic Instinct 2."
Now the identical twin of that car, the only black-and-red interior Spyker C8 Laviolette, has made it to America -- and the first U.S. public display happens at this year's Seattle International Auto Show, presented by State Farm, Oct. 31-Nov. 4, at Qwest Field Event Center. The Northwest's largest and most important annual automotive event will feature hundreds of all-new 2008 model year cars, trucks, crossovers, alternative-fuel, minivans, sport utilities and 4WD vehicles from every major automaker, plus one-of-a-kind concepts and extremely rare exotics and classics.
The $241,000 hand-built luxury creation is one of only 25 such cars in a limited series. The 400-horsepower vehicle has a top speed and 187 mph and rockets from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The all aluminum Audi V8 engine (type S8) with 90-degree block angle features natural aspiration through eight injection throttle bodies. The car also boats stainless steel 4-into-1 high performance exhausts on either side of the engine.
The all-aluminum hand mid-engined sports car features aerodynamic ground effect and electrically operated single hinge tilting doors. The interior is trimmed in Connolly leather. Luggage compartment in both front and rear include two made-to-measure Connolly leather suitcases.
