Just a few of the new 2010 models you'll see...
GMC Yukon Hybrid
Designed with safety in mind
The GMC Yukon Hybrid broke ground with the world’s first production 2-Mode full hybrid propulsion system, which on the 2WD model offers 21 mpg in city driving – a 50-percent improvement over non-hybrid models. The lineup now includes the distinctive Yukon Denali Hybrid, which infuses a new level of luxury into the efficient utility vehicle.
Along with exceptional fuel economy, the Yukon Hybrid and Yukon Denali Hybrid deliver full-size capability – up to 6,200 pounds of towing capacity (2WD) and standard eight-passenger seating capacity.
Yukon Hybrid models are built on GM’s full-size SUV platform, which incorporates features such as a fully boxed frame, coil-over-shock front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering and a premium interior that bolsters the vehicle’s comfort, quality and capability. Wide front and rear tracks enhance handling and lower the center of gravity for a more confident road feel.
The Yukon Hybrid was designed with safety in mind. It delivers a 360-degree safety system of occupant protection and crash-avoidance technology, with features such as standard StabiliTrak stability control system with rollover mitigation technology. For 2010, the long list of standard safety features is enhanced with the addition of front seat-mounted side air bags on all models.
GMC Yukon
Segment-leading fuel economy
The Yukon and Yukon XL family of full-size SUVs continues to offer performance, capability and segment-leading fuel economy. Yukon Denali models are distinguished with unique exterior design cues, including a signature honeycomb chrome grille. Denali-exclusive headlamps and taillamps further the jeweled look of these special Yukon models.
Changes for 2010 that enhance the lineup’s efficiency include variable valve timing on models with the 5.3L engine, as well as Active Fuel Management and a “taller” 3.08 axle ratio on Denali models. Additionally, FlexFuel capability is added to the 5.3L engines.
The Yukon XFE model that was introduced during the 2009 model year returns, offering 21 mpg on the highway. Additional product changes include two new exterior colors, USB ports on the radios and a standard single-speed transfer case on 4WD models. (A two-speed transfer case is optional).
GMC Sierra Hybrid
Now with 40 percent greater fuel economy
The GMC Sierra Hybrid is a powerful, full-size pickup that achieves 40-percent greater city fuel economy and a 25-percent improvement in overall fuel economy than non-hybrid models, while delivering the capability expected of a full-size truck – including a 6,100-pound (2,767 kg) towing capacity.
Partnering General Motors’ patented two-mode hybrid system and a powerful 6.0L gas V-8, the Sierra Hybrid delivers highly efficient performance, including all-electric driving up to 30 mph (48 km/h). That saves fuel even when the truck is fully loaded or towing a trailer.
EPA-estimated fuel economy for both 2WD and 4WD models is 21 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. With the 26-gallon (98 L) fuel tank, Sierra Hybrid delivers a cruising range of more than 500 miles.
The Sierra Hybrid is offered in the Crew Cab body style on both 2WD and 4WD models. Each model is equipped with several standard, popular features, including StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, a locking rear axle and a trailering package. Sierra Hybrid also offers dual-stage frontal air bags and head curtain side air bags, and it is the only full-size truck with five-star side-impact ratings in federal crash tests.
GMC Acadia SLT
Eight-passenger delivers spaciousness, capability
GMC’s popular, eight-passenger Acadia continues to win over customers seeking the spaciousness and capability of an SUV with a smooth ride and responsive handling of a crossover. Powered by a direct injected 3.6L V-6, it is offered in SLE and SLT trims. All-wheel drive and SLT-1 and SLT-2 equipment packages are available. A comprehensive safety system includes six standard air bags and standard StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with rollover mitigation technology.
For 2010, Acadia adds available 20-inch chrome-clad wheels, a USB interface for premium radios, OnStar 8.2, as well as new exterior and interior colors. XM NavTraffic is included with the navigation radio.
GMC Terrain
Innovation and engineering excellence in a smaller package
The all-new GMC Terrain crossover SUV offers up to 32 mpg on the highway, along with the capability, engineering excellence and refinement that have defined GMC for more than a century. It joins a diverse lineup filled with technologically advanced hybrids, efficient utilities and trucks designed to tackle any worksite task.
“The new Terrain brings GMC’s history of innovation and engineering excellence into a smaller, fuel-efficient package for today’s buyer,” said Susan Docherty, Buick-Pontiac-GMC vice president. “But the capability and functionality that customers have come to expect from a GMC are very much a part of the Terrain, making it an appealing choice for existing traditional SUV customers who are looking for distinctive styling and increased efficiency.”
