Ferrari California

Superb dynamics and driving pleasure

The 2010 Ferrari California boasts a 4.3-liter V8 (mounted in the mid-front section of the car) with direct fuel injection, a first for Ferrari.

Motor Trend’s Gavin Green writes, “California is heavier than the bigger and much more powerful 599 GTB. Yet the 4.3 V-8 under the hood is some 30 horses shy of the output of the 430. The motor is closely related, though the bore and stroke are different. It's direct injected, a first for a production Ferrari, primarily to boost fuel economy."

And Fast-Autos.net reports, “The new Ferrari California will satisfy even the most demanding of owners in term of its superb vehicle dynamics and driving pleasure. The new model will be available exclusively as a convertible with a folding hard top. Both chassis and bodywork are aluminum, in line with the rest of the current range.”

"Super fast and super luxurious"

 Motor Trend reports, “Motivated by an Enzo-derived V-12 that puts out an astounding 103 hp/L of displacement, the 599 is super fast and super luxurious, featuring dual-zone climate control, an electrically adjustable steering column, and even a radio/CD player. Most powerful series production Ferrari ever, its semi-active suspension ensures a comfortable ride, too.”

And from NetCarShow.com: “When it first debuted, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano set a new standard in terms of performance that remains a benchmark for new sports car development to this day. Now Ferrari is introducing the new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE (Handling GranTurismo Evoluzione) package for the model to further underscore its sportiness and handling.”

Aerodynamic thoroughbred grace

The 612 Scaglietti’s bodywork was styled in collaboration with Pininfarina and beautifully dovetails functional and aesthetic requirements. The curve of the wheelarches, the bonnet, cabin and tail, in fact, lend it a beautifully aerodynamic thoroughbred grace.
