In 2021 Washington State Auto Dealers Association (WSADA) and its 295 new car and truck dealer members, who hold over 500 franchises statewide, launched a campaign dubbed the “EV Revolution” to educate the public and thought leaders on the role franchised dealers are playing in bringing electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles to more driveways across Washington State.
As part of the campaign, WSADA teamed with Comcast/Effectv, KSTW-TV/CW-11, and Audacy and iHeart radio stations to broadcast how franchised auto dealers and their manufacturers are enthusiastically investing in EV infrastructure and training their employees to meet the state’s aspirational goal of broad EV adoption by 2030.
The campaign includes a collaboration with Chargeway, an automotive software company that offers an easy-to-use web portal and phone app to help customers understand, buy, and use an EV. Focused on creating a greener tomorrow, WSADA and Chargeway are working with Washington electric vehicle industry stakeholders – including the Seattle International Auto Show’s Presenting Sponsor, BECU, Seattle City Light, and Tacoma Public Utilities to support increased electric/hybrid vehicle sales and enhance the ownership experience.
