Guided VIP Tours

Want to shift your auto show experience into high gear? Then let the experts take you for a spin. Longtime automotive journalists and experts will provide a peek under the proverbial hoods of the latest vehicles on display and an up-close and in-depth look at the products on the show floor through their individual one hour VIP tours. Attendees receive VIP lanyards and a special swag bag.


Tour Schedule:
Thursday – 5PM & 7PM
Friday – 5PM & 7PM
Saturday – 11AM, 1PM, 3PM, 5PM & 7PM
Sunday – 11AM, 1PM, & 3PM


Tour starts at the Occidental Avenue registration desk, which is adjacent to Toyota at the show entrance. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in.


$30 per person. Price increases to $35 after 11/10/19.

Price includes entry to the show.


Meet the Tour Guides



Tom Voelk is an award-winning automotive journalist based in Seattle, WA. Currently a contributor to The New York Times, he has worked for NBC News Channel, KING Television and The Seattle Times. The automotive world is dramatically changing and Tom brings his wealth of knowledge to mainstream car shoppers. His Apple iTunes podcast “Driven” was the first to win an Emmy Award. When not shooting, writing and editing his video car review series, you’ll find him on a long run or working on his house.



Perry Stern started his automotive career almost 30 years ago as an advisor at a vehicle consulting firm, helping customers to decide on which vehicles to buy and then helping them through the purchase process. Always a car enthusiast, Perry went on to be one the original staff members of CarPoint, Microsoft’s automotive web site that launched in late 1995. In 2002 Perry became editor of the site that is now known as MSN Autos. Perry left Microsoft in 2014, starting his own production company Automotive Content Experience and shortly after launched Perry drives almost every new car on the market, ranging from base-level Kias to exotic high-performance Lamborghinis and attends major auto shows around the world. And, he’s still crazy about cars.
